Me as an artwork 2011

2010 Me, a Self-portrait as an Artwork

In my first solo exhibition Me, a Self-portrait as an Artwork, I focus – quite satirically – on the artist’s self-discovery process. The accompanying exhibition consists exclusively of 24 self-portraits, made in 24 hours, one portrait each hour, in the same size, which reflect on different postures and depict various moments, as well as a three panel painting on canvas with the statement I Have To Make an Artwork Everyday.

The presenatation of myself during the exhibition period of three weeks was the main point, since I removed my housing to the gallery. My own physical appearance in the space was an attempt to collapse the distance between the artist and the viewers.
